Reason for Recall:

There is a possible presence of plastic in the sandwiches

Comments:

Goodman Fielder New Zealand Ltd is initiating a recall of its Deli Kitchen Classic Ham & Mustard sandwich and its Deli Kitchen Classic Ham & Mayo sandwich due to the possible presence of food grade plastic in the sandwiches. All Deli Kitchen Classic Ham & Mustard sandwiches and Classic Ham & Mayo sandwiches, with Use By dates 17/03/2012 or 18/03/2012 should not be consumed.

There have been no reports of illness, however, any person concerned about their health should seek medical advice.

These products are sold in service stations, some corner stores, some mini-marts and some supermarkets throughout New Zealand. Consumers that may have purchased any of the affected products should contact the Goodman Fielder Customer Advisory Centre on 0800 368 052 for details on how to return it and obtain a full refund.

This recall does not affect any other Goodman Fielder products.
